After working in several leading positions in healthcare companies, Axel founded binder Pharma services in 2016 – driven by his commitment to provide unique business services to Pharma, medtech and healthcare companies. But what had to be done to build the company up? A collaborative environment was created where hierarchies dissolve and a diverse team consisting of experienced experts and young professionals. Axel lives his life and runs his company very consistently according to the motto: “I only do what I really enjoy doing.”

After receiving his degree in business economics, Thorsten co-founded the research company KnowledgeAgent. He began his consulting career in 2001 – initially in industry and trade, then in the health sector from 2006 onwards. Participating in a plethora of projects (both for big Pharma as well as start-ups) he familiarized himself with all areas throughout the entire value chain. His main focus? Product launch, business development, business excellence, partnering and M&A projects, which he now puts into practice with great enthusiasm at Supersonic Pharma.

Alex spent 15 years at Roche, where he held several roles in Austria including Sales and Franchise Manager in Oncology. Then he moved to Basel and strengthened the regional business team there as Commercial Director for Europe for Roche Foundation Medicine. Before joining Supersonic’s founding team, he was Head of Business Development at Biome Diagnostics. Alex holds a master’s degree and a PhD in Human Biology and Anthropology from the University of Vienna, Austria.

Matthias has been a specialist in healthcare law for almost 25 years. Since 2004 he is partner of the law firm Knirsch – Gschaider – Cerha. He acts as permanent advisor to distinguished Pharmaceutical and medical product companies, hospitals and physicians from all specializations. In addition, he is author and editor of legal specialist literature on various issues regarding health care law and is a regular speaker in expert conferences. He has been admitted to the Austrian Bar, holds a master’s degree and a law PhD from the University of Vienna, as well as a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
